Highlight Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick

Hi everyone!!

I have a different type of post to share with you all today.  I recently received two matte lipsticks from Highlight Cosmetics, a beauty line that has matte liquid lipsticks made with NATURAL ingredients such as turmericsea kelpgreen tea and white tea.

Moroccan Spice
Pink nude

Sandstone Cashmere
Light brown nude

Both shades applied really well/evenly and dried to a matte finish quickly.  They have a very light feel to them.  It didn't come off easily, even when I ate food.  These are really nice nude shades and they have a variety of pretty shades to choose from.

A little more about the brand:
Highlight was created to be a dual purpose product which not only beautifies the exterior but also the interior. We have created 10 different shades including 5 metallic's of a non transferable water resistant matte long lasting liquid lipstick that will highlight the face with a natural glow, enhance the lips and provide more moisture. These shades will improve complexion and leave a shinier and smoother skin tone behind. Our philosophy is to take care of your inside while the outside is highlighted.
Unlike other matte lipsticks, this one contains turmeric, extracts and a peptide. Other ingredients include green and white tea extract, kelp extract and safflower oil. Turmeric has been formulated to prevent the appearance of dry and chapped lips. Safflower oil contains proteins, minerals, vitamins. Our product is great for all skin types because it’s highly soothing to the skin.
Lipsticks can be purchased online at https://www.highlightcosmetics.com/.  They're available for $25 each.  You can also follow them on Instagram @highlightcosmetics

Gradient and Stamping

Hi everyone!!

I was in the mood for some gradient and stamping, so here's what I came up with.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

For this mani, I did a gradient with Lex Cosmetics Nectar and Avon Tangtastic.  I then stamped an image in black from the UberChic 6-01 plate.  I like the contrast of the black against the peach/coral shades.  What do you guys think?

Purple and Silver

Hi everyone!!

I was in the mood for a muted purple shade, so I pulled out Miss Frozen in Time.  It's one of my favorites, I just love the shimmer in it!

I stamped an image in silver from the BM-XL18 stamping plate.  I love purple and silver together.  What do you guys think of this look?

Revlon - Garden

Hi everyone!!

I have a simple mani today using one of my favorite green polishes, Revlon Garden.

On my ring finger, I attempted some double stamping.  I used Rimmel Rags to Riches (a green shimmer) to stamp a leaf image.  However, it stamped really light.  I then stamped a flower image from the BPL-029 plate in pink.  While the two images look really nice together, it's really hard to see.  Whomp, whomp!!   I still liked it though ;0).

Zoya Wanderlust - Part 2

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have the other half of the Zoya Wanderlust collection to share with you today!

Lois
Rich magenta violet cream

Artificial Light
Winnie
Soft watermelon pink cream

Artificial Light
Mandy
Shimmering berry pink

Artificial Light
Byrdie
Rich bubble gum pink cream

Artificial Light
River
Shimmering cobalt blue

Artificial Light
Esty
Muted fuchsia pink cream

Artificial Light
I was surprised at the amount of pink polishes in this collection, especially because they are so close in shades.  But you know I'm a pink girl, so that's not a problem for me ;0).

All of these polishes have a great formula and apply well.  Winnie and Byrdie are a bit on the thicker side, but they're manageable.  My personal favorites though, are Lois, River and Esty.

What do you guys think of the collection?  Do you have any favorites?

The Wanderlust collection is available online at zoya.com for $10 each.

These polishes aren't the typical bright colors you would see for a summer collection, but definitely work.  I, personally, am in love with Arbor, Scout and Sawyer.  They have great formulas and are lovely shades.  Sonja and Cora are a bit on the thicker side and require some care upon application.

What do you guys think of these polishes?  Any of them catch your eye?

Purple and Gray

Hi everyone!!

Guess what?!!  I've finished all of my untrieds.  Yep, ALL of them.  I can't believe it, but I'm so happy.  So what's next?  Actually using my polishes and having fun with them.  So, besides swatches for brands I work with and a few rare purchases, I'll be sharing manis that I come up with from my used polishes ;0).

First up... Essence The Dawn is Broken, an oldie but a goodie.

I stamped a floral image in purple from the BPL-029 plate.  I love purple and gray together!  Is this a color combo you would wear?

Essence - Sure Azure

Hi everyone!!

I have blue and pink combo to share with you today.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Sure Azure is a lovely light blue creme with a hint of shimmer running through.  I paired it with Essence Roosewood Hood, a light pink, almost creme polish, which also has a hint of shimmer.  On my ring finger, I added Polished by KPT Bachelorette Party, lavender, white and holo glitters in a sheer base.  I then stamped an image from the BPL-027 plate using Painted Polish Stamped in Taro (a stamping polish I picked up at Polish Con).

I thought this combo turned out really well.  I'm so happy to have gotten my hands on some pretty stamping shades from Painted Polish.

What do you guys think of these polishes?  Do you have any of them?

Ulta - Maine Attraction

Hi everyone!

Today, I have a polish from Ulta called Maine Attraction to share with you.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Maine Attraction is a medium teal with a great formula.  I decided to add a coat of Misa Skinny Dipping, a teal shimmer on my ring and pinky fingers.  It was much sheerer than I expected thought, so it's difficult to see.  On my ring finger, I stamped an image in blue from the BPL-026 plate.

I thought these polishes came together well.  What do you think of them?  Do you have any in your stash?

Turtle Tootsie Polishes - Crime of Passion

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have the last of the beauties I picked up from Polish Con to share with you today.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Crime of Passion is a hot pink base with silver scattered holo running through.  It's so, so pretty!!  It has a good formula as well.  I decided to stamp a floral image from the BPL-029 plate with Color Club Harp On It.  It's a bit difficult to see in the pictures, but I loved how it turned out.

What do you guys think of Crime of Passion?  Is this your kind of color?

Essence - Let's Get Lost

Hi everyone!!

For Monday Blues, I have two great blue polishes to share with you.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Essence Let's Get Lost is a great medium blue creme.  The formula is easy to work with and it's opaque in two coats.  On my ring finger, I decided to wear Nina Ultra Pro Until You, a dark teal shimmer.  It has a really good formula as well.  On my middle finger, I sponged Unteal You over Let's Get Lost and then stamped an image from the BPL-027 plate.

I really liked these two blues together.  They really nice shades!  What do you guys think of these two polishes?

Fair Maiden Polish - It's Not Easy Being Green and Roaming Fire

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have two polishes to share with you from Fair Maiden Polish that I got at Polish Con.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

It's Not Easy Being Green is described as a "frog green creme" and I love it!!  It has a great formula and was opaque in two easy coats.  I decided to pair it with Roaming Fire a metallic rust shade.  I was pleasantly surprised with Roaming Fire.  It was much more opaque than I expected and it applied really well.  Even better, I scored it for $5 ;0).  I used it to stamp an image from the BP-L 006 plate.

I really loved these two together!  What do you guys think of them?
