China Glaze - Jungle Queen

Hi everyone!!

This week the Twinsies are sharing manis inspired by fabric.  So, I went with an image that reminds me of designs I've seen on fabric in the past.

For this mani, I paired China Glaze Jungle Queen (index and middle fingers) with Urban Night.  I added a coat of Hits Hefesto on the ring finger.  The stamping was done with Divine Lacquer Beating Cancer in Heels using the UberChic 8-02 plate.

Though this mani wasn't inspired by a specific piece of fabric, I have, the stamping definitely reminds me of an old school fabric design.  What do you guys think?  Too much of a stretch?

Monday Blues

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

My Monday Blues post is super late today because I've been swamped with life.  So, I've just gotten a chance to put this post together.

I decided to share a mani from a swap I did this weekend on Instagram with Dianna (@dsetterfield).

For this mani, I used Sinful Colors Zeus and Neptune and stamped an image in black from the UberChic 8-01 stamping plate.  I loved the combination of these two blues.  They're both really pretty in their own way.

Artificial Light
Here's a look at our swap collage.

Aren't these some awesome blue manis?!  I sure think so!

What do you guys think of Zeus and Neptune together?

Color Club - Urban Edge

Hi everyone!!

For this week's Throwback Thursday, I'm sharing a really old polish from my untrieds, Color Club Urban Edge.  It's a pinkish nude creme.  Unfortunately, the formula isn't that great, it was pretty streaky.  Soooo... I just stamped over it and that took care of the problem ;0).

I used an image from the Mundo de Unas 3 plate using a polish from Divine Nail Lacquer.

This was a simple mani, but I love how these two polishes looked together.  What do you guys think of Urban Edge?

Orly - Ancient Jade

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have an oldie, but a goodie to share with you today from Orly.

Orly Ancient Jade is a jade green creme with a great formula.  It applies flawlessly and is opaque in two coats.  I decided to do a dry brush on my ring and pinky fingers with gold and dark green.  I then added some stamping in black with an image from the Mundo de Unas 3 plate.

Ancient Jade is definitely a classic and I'm glad I have it in my stash.  I really like this nail art look with it too!

Do you have Ancient Jade in your stash?

China Glaze - Midtown Magic

Midtown Magic is a brown creme packed with gold shimmer.  It required two easy coats for full opacity and has a great formula.

The shimmer in this polish is soooo pretty!!  I absolutely love it!  I can't believe I took so long to finally wear it.  What do you guys think of it?  Did you ever pick this one up?

Watercolor Alcohol Technique

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share a mani I did for a mani swap this weekend on Instagram.

For this mani, I used NYC Tudor City Teal as a base.  I then used a Victoria's Secret Fragrance Mist to spray the black and gold polishes that were in water.

Artificial Light

This technique actually ended up being harder than I thought, but I still got a fun result.

What do you guys think of how this turned out?  Have you ever tried this technique before?

Arcane Lacquer - Peace of Mind

Hi everyone!!

I have a simple blue  mani to share with you today.

Arcane Lacquer is a dusty blue crelly with shimmer and blue microglitter.  It's sheerer than I expected and required four coats for full opacity.

Artificial Light
Peace of Mind is a simple, yet beautiful polish.  I like this shade of blue and the shimmer/glitter is a nice touch.  What do you guys think of it?

Color Club - Beyond

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I wanted to do something with black and yellow, so I pulled out my black holo from the Halo Hues collection, Beyond.  I stamped an image with an MdU yellow stamping polish using the MdU Spiral 1 plate.  I was in love with this mani!!  The image is so much fun and I love a good black holo.

China Glaze - Flying Dragon

Hi everyone!!

For Twinsie Tuesday, we're sharing manis inspired by our childhood.  I didn't come up with anything really creative.  I chose China Glaze Flying Dragon because it has a fun name.  It's supposed to be a neon, but I'm not sure if the formula has changed because I've had it for a really long time.  It's more of a dark purple.  I stamped an image from the UberChic 8-01 plate in pink over it.

As a child, I loved pink.  I still do actually.  I liked wearing this abstract look on my nails.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies to see their childhood inspired manis.

For this mani, I paired Essie Navigate Her, a pistachio green creme, with Essie Armed and Ready, a dark green creme.  On my pinky, I added a coat of China Glaze Luxe and Lush, flakies in a clear base.  I also stamped an image in gold from the UberChic 8-03 plate on my ring finger.

Throwback Thursday

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For Throwback Thursday, I wanted to do an ombre, which I haven't done in years.  So I pulled out some of my purples.
Index finger: Zoya Neeka
Middle finger: Julep Charlotte
Ring finger: NYX Golden Lavender
Pinky: St. Lucia Lilac

I really liked the polishes on their own, but of course I gave in and added some stamping.  I stamped an image from the UberChic 8-02 plate.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
This was a fun mani to wear with all of the pretty purple shades.  I need to do ombres more often.

Do you ever wear an ombre look?

Essie - Angora Cardi

Hi everyone!!

I have a simple manicure to share with you with Essie Angora Cardi and Orly Fifty-Four as an accent.

Angora Cardi is a dark rose creme.  It has a good formula.  I decided to add a simple shimmer top coat on my ring finger with Orly Fifty-Four.   They went really well together.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
This mani was a good palette cleanser.  Angora Cardi is a really nice shade, I'm not sure it's the best shade for me though.

What do you guys think of Angora Cardi?   Did you ever pick up this one?

Charlotte Russe

Hi everyone!!

Moving forward, the Twinsies will be posting on a bi-weekly basis, so there's no Twinsie Tuesday post this week.

For today's mani, I'm sharing a polish that I picked up from Charlotte Russe a while ago.  Unfortunately, it didn't have a name.  It's a nice burgundy with holographic shimmer.  I decided to stamp and image in gold from the UberChic 6-01 plate on my index and ring fingers.
