Throwback Thursday

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have a late post today because I just got back from a short family trip to Mystic, CT.  We had a nice relaxing time.

I pulled out my Lex Cosmetics Tuilleries for Throwback Thursday.  I layered it over a cream polish on my ring and pinky fingers.  I love this polish so much!!

On my index finger, I have Black Luna Lacquer Ghost with stamping from the UberChic 5-02 plate and on my middle finger, I used Sinful Colors Pink Forever.

Darling Diva - Good Luck Bear

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a polish from Darling Diva to share with you!

Good luck bear is a green base with white and gold microglitters and hexes.  It also has some gold star glitters.  It requires four coats for full opacity.  It applies really well, but it's just sheer.  I stamped an image in green from the Winstonia Expressionism plate on my ring and pinky fingers.

Twinsie Tuesday - Birds

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is "birds."

For this mani, I used Love & Beauty Pink on my index and pinky fingers.  It's actually more of a peach/coral.  It's a bit streaky, but is opaque in three coats.  On my middle finger, I'm wearing Tony Moly GS10, a light pink crelly base with gold and pink glitters.  It required four coats for full opacity.  It applied well, but was really sheer.

On my ring finger, I stamped an image from the Cici & Sisi 02 plate.  I then used the leadlighting technique to fill in the birds.

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have a simple blue manicure to share with you for Monday Blues!

For this mani, I used Orly Harmonious Mess, a pale blue creme with a great formula as a base.  I then added two coats of Essie Stroke of Brilliance, a periwinkle glitter in a clear base.

These two go perfectly together!  I loved this simple, but sparkly look!

Hi everyone!!

This week I did a swap with Muneca (@nail_passionate).

Here's a closer look at my recreation.

Artificial Light

For this look, I sponged Jessica Surfer Boyz'n Berry (an aqua crelly), Pure Nail Lacquer Sunlight (yellow), GAP Violet (purple) and Victoria's Secret Perfect (pink).  I then stamped the chevron image in white from the UberChic 2-02 plate and the animal print image in black from the XY18 plate.

I absolutely loved this mani!!  I remember first seeing the original and had a blast recreating it.  It's such a fun look!

What do you guys think of this mani?  Is this something you would wear?

Victoria's Secret - Perfect

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have a cutesy mani to share with you today.

Victoria's Secret Perfect is a pinkish-purple creme.  It's slightly thin, but has a good formula.  It's fully opaque in three coats.  I paired it with Smitten Polish Candy Kisses on my middle finger.  It required four coats with no white base.  On my ring finger, I stamped an image from the UberChic 5-03 plate and used the leadlighting technique to fill in the flowers.

Artificial Light

I loved everything about this mani!!  These polishes are so pretty and I loved how the flowers turned out!

Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone!!

For this week's #tbt, I wanted to do something with my Wet & Wild 9.0.2.1.Orange.

I used a white base, Pure Nail Lacquer Blameless, and sponged 9.0.2.1.Orange.  I then used an orange striper and randomly freehanded some lines.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I really like how this mani turned out!!  Every once in a while I get a stroke of creativity and it actually turns out nicely.

What do you guys think of this orange and white mani?

Pear Nova - Tan Lines

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have a lovely orange polish from Pear Nova to share with you called Tan Lines.

Tan Lines has a slightly runny formula, but it was manageable.  I used two coats and it was fully opaque.  I paired it with Hare Polish Let Them Eat... What?, a white crelly base with gold and orange glitters and stamped an image from Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10 in gold.

I really like the uniqueness of this orange and it paired perfectly with Let Them Eat... What?.

Avon - Loving Lavender

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

This week's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is "inspired by jewelry."  I kind of cheated.  I added some "bling" on my pinky with Victoria Secret Drama Queen, a purple glitter in a clear base.  I then stamped an image using the Winstonia Expressionism plate, which kind of reminds me of a necklace design I've seen.  That could work for jewelry right?

Artificial Light

The base polish I used is Avon Loving Lavender, such a pretty purple creme.  It's a bit on the thin side, but applies well and is opaque in two coats.

What do you guys think of this "jewelry" inspired manicure?

American Apparel - The Valley

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have polish from American Apparel to share with you.

Though it's showing up a bit brighter in these pictures, The Valley, is an aqua creme. It requires two coats for full opacity and applies really well.  I did some double stamping using silver and black with an image from the Cici & Sisi 02 plate.  I then added dots to my index and middle fingers.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I'm so in love with this blue!!  I have quite a few polishes from American Apparel and I'm only now getting around to trying them.  I'm looking forward to seeing if they're as good as this one.

What do you guys think of The Valley?  Do you have any polishes from American Apparel?

Saturday Swap

Hi everyone!!

This week, I did a mani swap with Tahira (@tsreed72).  Her stamping skills are so awesome, so I just had to swap with her!

Here's a closer look at the mani, I recreated.

Artificial Light

For this look, I sponged a few different holo polishes over white: Color Club Kismet, Cosmic Fate, Eternal Beauty, Over the Moon and Miss Bliss.  I then stamped a star image from the UberChic 6-01 plate in black.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
This was such a fun mani to create and wear.  I kept staring at my nails!  Unfortunately, there wasn't much sun when I wore it, so I couldn't appreciate even more holo awesomeness.  What do you guys think of the final result?

Delush Polish - Swans Upon A Time

Hi everyone!!

I recently did a mani with Delush Polish's Swans Upon a Time, a white creme base with pink shimmer running through.  It's such a pretty polish!!

Swans Upon a Time required three coats for full opacity.  It has a good formula.  Since I don't wear white as a full mani on its own, I did a dry brush on my ring and pinky fingers with Joe Fresh Teal Cyan and Rosewood, then stamped an image using the Cici & Sisi 02 plate.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

I wore Joe Fresh Teal Cyan on its own my thumb.

I love how this look turned out and wore this mani for quite a few days.  It was so artsy looking.  And that shimmer in Swans Upon a Time... <3 <3 <3.

Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone!!

For Throwback Thursday, I was in the mood for a soft, sparkly look.  So I pulled out Sinful Colors Flutter, a soft pink with shimmer and added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Fairy Dust is such a lovely holo glitter topper.  I really like this soft look.

Do you have Fairy Dust in your stash?

Sally Hansen - Greige Gardens

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have a gray and purple mani to share with you.

For this mani, I used Sally Hansen Greige Gardens, a taupe/gray creme.  The formula is a bit thin, but it applies well.  I did a gradient with Zoya Lotus, a deep purple packed with golden shimmer.

I used Bundle Monster Optical Illusion stamping polish to stamp an image from the Cheeky Happy Nails Jumbo Plate 10.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I loved this combo of gray and purple.  What do you guys think of it?
