Urban Outfitters - Barstool

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For today's Monday Blues post, I have a dusty turquoise crelly to share with you from Urban Outfitters.  Barstool has a pretty good formula.  It's a bit sheer, but it applies well.  It requires three coats for full opacity.

I paired Barstool with Avon Splendid Blue, a navy, packed with shimmer.  On my ring finger, I did a gradient with Barstool and Splendid Blue and stamped an image from Cheeky Happy Nails Jumbo Plate 10.

I really liked wearing these two polishes together!  What do you think of Barstool and Splendid Blue?

Saturday Swap

Hi everyone!!

I got so hooked since doing my first mani swap, that I decided to do mani swaps for my Saturday posts.  I think it's a great way to expand my nail looks by using inspiration from other great nail bloggers/artists.

So, for my first Saturday Swap, I partnered up with Sasha of Glamorous Nails 23.

Here's a closer look at my recreation.

For this manicure, I used Black Cat Lacquer's Just Like Honey as a base.  It's a white crelly with a mixture of fuchsia glitters.  It has a really good formula and is opaque in three coats.  I love that it didn't require a white base first.  I then stamped and image in gold from the UberChic 5-03 plate.

Here's a look at Just Like Honey on its own.

I really loved wearing this manicure!  I don't think I would've thought of stamping gold over a color like this.  Thanks for swapping with me Sasha!!  Be sure to follow her on Instagram guys ;0).

What do you guys think of this manicure?  Have you ever tried a combo like this before?

Picture Polish - Ornate

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a polish from Picture Polish to share with you called Ornate.  It was released sometime last year and I just had to have it.  I purchased it on Black Friday from Color 4 Nails.

Ornate is a purple base with gold glitters.  It requires two coats for full opacity and dries to a dull finish.  I decided to add a double accent with an image from the XY18 stamping plate in gold.

This is a really unique polish.  I love the combo here.  A Lacquered Affair did a great job with this collab.

What do you guys think of Ornate?

Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone!!

Today's mani is a real throwback because I did this mani so long ago and forgot about it.  I wanted to create a pond manicure, so I pulled out Fresh Cover Sheer Shot, a fuchsia jelly that I've only used once or twice before.  I decided to stamp an image from UberChic 6-01 for the design, then added a second coat of Sheer Shot over the design.  On my ring finger, I left the design on it's own and added a bit of silver.

I was so in love with this manicure when I wore it!!  First of all, I really love this image.  It's so pretty!!  I also love the look of it peeking through this jelly polish.  Pond manis are so cool in my opinion!

What do you guys think of today's Throwback Thursday look?  Do you do wear pond manicures?

Pahlish - Gingerbread Baker

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have yet another polish from Pahlish to share with you today ;0).

I've been itching to do a black and white accent with a contrasting creme for a while.  I ended up choosing Gingerbread Baker, which isn't much of a contrast, but an edgy look, nonetheless.

Gingerbread Baker is Pahlish's December 2015 polish and it was sent to me by Saira as a Christmas gift.  It's a dark eggplant creme with a great formula!  I paired with an image from the XY18 stamping plate.

What do you guys think of this combo?  Do you like wearing a black and white accent nail?

Sally Hansen - Shrimply Devine

Hi everyone!!

For Twinsie Tuesday we're sharing manis with studs or embellishments.  While I like the look of studs, I'm not a fan of wearing them.  I'm always afraid that one would fall off in the middle of the day and I'd end up with this empty spot that looks ridiculous!   Anyhoo, here's what I did for the prompt.

For this mani, the base is Sally Hansen Shrimpy Devine.  It's a barbie pink creme and the formula could be better.  It was pretty streaky.  Here I used three coats to get decent coverage.  There was still some streakiness going on :(.  I then added some purple studs that I've for a while from Sally Beauty Supply.

Though the formula wasn't the greatest, I liked this simple look.

Do you wear studs or embellishments on your nails?

Pahlish - Khanbaliq and Tropical Island Treasure

Hi everyone!!

Happy Monday!  Today, I have two more polishes from Pahlish to share with you.

Khanbaliq is a white, leaning blue, base with red microglitters.  I paired it with Tropical Island Treasure, a turquoise base with what looks like copper microglitters.  On my accent nail, I did a gradient with both polishes and stamped an image in white from the XY18 plate.

I loved wearing this mani so much.  I actually wore it for three days!!  These two are just so pretty!!  Am I the only one that feels that way?

Pahlish - Watermelon Punch

Hi everyone!!

Today I have lovely neon pink from Pahlish to share with you!

Watermelon Punch is a sheer neon pink base with flakies.  It requires three coats for full opacity, but applies well.  I got this one from my polish friend, Saira, for Christmas.  She's so sweet!!

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I'm pretty sure I don't have any neons in my stash with flakies.  I love that about this polish.  Shannon always makes such great creations.  I've always loved that about her polishes.  And Saira definitely knows my style ;0).

What do you guys think of Watermelon Punch?

Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone!!

For Throwback Thursday, I pulled out Picture Polish Vegas.  I've worn it on its own in the past, but this time I layered one coat over a red creme.  I then stamped heart images on my index and ring fingers using the Happy Nails by Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10.

Glitterdaze - Away Message

Hi everyone!!

I have a gorgeous neon purple to share with you from Glitterdaze today!

Away Message is such a pretty, creamy polish.  The formula is great!  I decided to add Colores de Carol Mystical Orchid on my pinky.  It's a pretty purple holo.  On my ring finger, I stamped an image from the XY18 stamping plate that I recently got from Amazon.

This was such a cutesy manicure and I loved wearing it!  What do you guys think of Away Message? What about that gorgeous holo?

Essie - Mochacino

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

The Twinsie Tuesday prompt for this week is "coffee inspired."  I'm not a coffee drinker, but this wasn't too difficult for me because I have lots of browns in my stash.  I decided to pull Essie Mochacino out of my untrieds since it has a coffee-ish inspired name.  I can't believe I didn't wear this one sooner.  It has such a nice shimmer in it.

For my accent, I stamped an image that was perfect for this prompt from the Happy Nails by Cheeky Jumbo Plate 10.  I recently got this plate from Amazon and it has a lot of fun images.

Hi everyone!!

I have a gorgeous blue to share with you today for Monday Blues!

Baby It's Cold Outside is a dark blue packed with holo shimmer.  It's soooo pretty!!!  It has a great formula; it applies well and is opaque in two easy coats.

On my ring finger, I used my NF218 (from Born Pretty Store) nail vinyls to sponge Baby It's Cold Outside over black.  It had a really fun and interesting look.

Throwback Thursday

Hi everyone!!

For Throwback Thursday, I have a gray manicure to share with you!

I pulled out one of my all time favorite gray polishes, China Glaze Recycle, then stamped China Glaze Exceptionally Gifted with an image from the XY18 plate.  Exceptionally Gifted is a pink frost and I thought the color would show up a bit more, but it still turned out nicely with this subtle effect.

What do you guys think of this mani?  Do you have Recycle in your stash?

Fair Maiden Polish - Magic Carpet Ride

Hi everyone!!

I'm participating in my first ever mani swap on IG with Dianna (@dsetterfield74).  So based on one of her manicures, this is what I came up with.

For this look, I used Fair Maiden Magic Carpet Ride, a mint crelly with shimmer running through it.  I paired it with Pupa N 250, a green glitter polish from Italy.  On my middle finger, I used a black creme base and added polka dots with Magic Carpet Ride.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
I was so happy to do this mani!  It's a fun color combo.  Thanks to Dianna for the awesome inspiration!

What do you guys think of this look?  Have you ever done a mani swap before?

A-England - Her Rose Adagio

Hi everyone!!

Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is "romantic."  Since flowers are considered romantic, I decided to use A-England Her Rose Adagio as a base, a rose holo base, and used Rica Pink Clouds (a great stamping polish) to stamp flower images from the Winstonia "The Carnival" plate.
