Kleancolor - Strawberry Dream

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!!  Can you believe it's the last day of 2014?!!  I sure can't!  I hope you guys have a wonderful New Year's Eve and stay safe!

It's Wednesday, so I decided to do a pink mani for today.  I haven't done a waterfall mani in a while, so I decided to create one.

It's kind of festive right?!  For my base, I used Kleancolor Strawberry Dream.  It's a pink creme with a slightly thick formula, but it applies fairly well.  I then used silver, purple and white stripers.  I topped the mani off with OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat.

Diosa Dawn Over Provence and Diversified Portfolio

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have two polishes from Diosa to share with you.  I ordered these during a flash sale around the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Dawn Over Provence is a muted lavender creme with a good formula.  It's a bit thin, but is opaque in two easy coats.  Here I used two coats with no top coat.

The second polish I ordered is a multicolored glitter in a clear base called Diversified Portfolio.  Here it is over Dawn Over Provence.

Diversified Portfolio is such a gorgeous glitter.  I'm definitely going to be using this one a lot!  Dawn Over Provence is really pretty too.  It's definitely my kind of color.

What do you guys think of these two polishes?  Have you tried this brand yet?

Diosa polishes may be purchased online here.

Pear Nova - Roll or Coast Her

Hi everyone!!

It's time for another Monday Blues post.  Today, I have another polish from Pear Nova called Roll or Coast Her.  It's a beautiful aqua creme.  Like with Blue Magic and Pilsen Lofts & Art Walks, the formula is a bit thick.  I used two thin coats when applying it and it applied really well.  I used no top coat for these swatches.

What do you guys think of Roll or Coast Her?  Is this your kind of shade?

Snowflake Stamping - BM-H01

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!  Merry Christmas!

I can't believe that it's Christmas already and the end of the year is almost here.  For those of you who celebrate, I pray that you have a wonderful day with your family and friends and don't forget the true meaning of the season!

Today, I have a wintery mani to share with you using a stamping plate that I got from Nail Polish Canada, BM-H01.

For this manicure, I used Orly Au Champagne as a base.  I then added a coat of Essie Shine of the Times.  The gorgeous flakies in SOTT gave it more of a wintery feel.  I then used Color Club Pearl District to stamp on snowflakes.  I topped the mani off with Out the Door top coat.

This mani gave me so many issues, but I was determined to get the look I had in my head.  First, I chose a gold that was too light, but I got it on the third try with Pearl District.  It was also one of those days where I kept smudging my polish.  It happened on two nails.  I'm happy with the way this turned out though.

What do you guys think of this wintery manicure?  Have you done anything like it before?

BM-H01 can be purchased online here for $4.00.  Nail Polish Canada also has a wide variety of fun stamping plates, so definitely check them out.

Kleancolor - Rose Bouquet

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have another Kleancolor polish to share with you called Rose Bouquet.  It's a rose, leaning coral creme with a rose/baby powder scent.  That's the only way I can describe it ;0).  The formula of this one is just okay.  It's thick, so care is required when applying it.  I used two coats with no top coat here.

Rose Bouquet is a really pretty color.  I decided to add an Andrea Fullerton loose glitter that I got from Saira a while ago to it.  I then topped it off with OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat.

I really loved the combination of Rose Bouquet with this glitter.  My only gripe was that the glitter got into my cuticles and it was difficult to remove.

What do you guys think of Rose Bouquet?  Have you ever used any loose glitters on your nails?

Love, Charlotte XO - Blush

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a polish from Charlotte Russe to share with you.  I picked up a few polishes from the line Love, Charlotte XO a while ago and Blush was one of them.  It's a mauve polish packed with silver shimmer.   It applies fairly well and is opaque in two coats.  Here I used no top coat.

I decided to add a flower nail charm from Kiss Cosmetics as an accent and I really like the combination.  Blush is one of those colors that seems unassuming in the bottle, but it's really very pretty.

What do you guys think of this polish?  Do you have any polishes from Charlotte Russe?

Pear Nova - Blue Magic

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  It's Monday again, so I have a blue mani to share with you.

For this mani, I used mostly polishes from a new "to me" brand that I discovered on Instagram called Pear Nova.  I've been eyeing Rachel's beautiful cremes for a while and finally made a purchase during a recent sale.

On my index and pinky fingers, I used Blue Magic, a gorgeous periwinkle creme.  On my middle finger, I have two coats of Pilsen Lofts & Art Walks, a gray creme.

For my ring finger, I used Blue Magic as a base and did some multicolored stamping using the technique I saw here.

I topped the mani off with Out the Door top coat.

The plate I used for the design was BP-13 from Born Pretty Store.  It's the image on the right below.

I really like these Pear Nova polishes so far.  The formula is a bit on the thick side, so I would definitely recommend applying thinner coats.  It's opaque in two coats.

What do you guys think of this mani?  Have you tried polishes from this brand before?

Pear Nova polishes can be purchased online here for $11.50 a bottle.

Ice Cream Cone Nail Color - Chocolate Cupcake

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have a polish that I picked up from Rite Aid a few weeks ago to share with you.  I was drawn to it, not only because of its pretty color, but also because the bottle was shaped like an ice cream cone.  What can I say?  I'm a sucker for cute packaging.

Macro - Ice Cream Nail Color Chocolate Cupcake
This polish dries to a matte finish.  Top coat is used in the first and last pictures.  Now why it's called Chocolate Cupcake is beyond me!  It's not brown and it doesn't smell like chocolate.  It actually smells like maple according to my daughter.  Whatever, it's still pretty.

What do you guys think of this polish?  Did you pick up any Ice Cream Cone Nail Color polishes from Rite Aid?

Nerd Lacquer I Think You Call Me... Sexy - The Remix?

Hi everyone!!

Today, I wanted to share a polish I shared before here.  Nerd Lacquer's I Think You Call Me... Sexy is a deep blue jelly packed with blue glitters, or at least it was.  When I was going through my stash a while ago, I looked at my bottle and noticed that the polish totally changed.  This is what it looks like now.

I'm not sure what happened with this polish.  I'm actually pretty disappointed that it changed so much, but at least it changed to a decent looking polish.

Has this ever happened to any of your polishes?

Pink Wednesday Nail Art

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a really pretty design I came up with by doing a gradient and stamping over it.

For this look, I started off with two coats of Orly Au Champagne.  I then used a sponge to create a gradient with Orly Au Champagne and Kleancolor Vanilla Cupcake (the bottle I'm holding).  Is it me, or does the name of this Kleancolor polish not match the look of it?  Anyhoo, I then added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Finally, I used a purple metallic Cosmetic Arts polish, to stamp a design from my BP-13 stamping plate.  I topped it off with Out the Door top coat.

I absolutely love how this mani turned out!!  I didn't want to take it off when I wore it.  I'm definitely falling in love with stamping and will be practicing more and more.
