Serum No. 5 - Sunset Flare

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a polish from Serum No. 5 to share with you called Sunset Flare.  It's a gorgeous pinkish/orange with gold shimmer.  It's opaque in three coats and dries to a semi-matte finish.  Here I applied a coat of Out the Door top coat.

Sunset Flare is a really unique, but pretty polish.  It's really great for the season.

What do you guys think of this color?

Fall Busy Girl Nails - Thanksgiving

Hi everyone!!  Happy Thanksgiving!!!  For those of you in the US celebrating, I hope you have a fun day with family and friends ;0).

Today, I'm sharing my Thanksgiving mani and it happens to be the last installment of the #busygirlnails challenge for the fall.

This mani actually makes me think more of Christmas than Thanksgiving :-/.  I should've gone with orange instead of the red, but I still like how it turned out.

I used Catrice Genius in the Bottle on my ring and pinky fingers.  My base on my index finger is Zoya Ray (a polish I got a while ago in a gift sampler box).  My base on my middle finger is Sinful Colors Fire Red.  I then stamped a design from my QA93 plate (Born Pretty Store) using Genius in the Bottle.  I topped the mani off with Out the Door Top Coat.

The design I used is in the middle.
Even though, it's not quite a Thanksgiving look, this mani still fits the holiday season ;0).  Hope you guys like it!

OPI - Japanese Rose Garden

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For this Pink Wednesday, I decided to try out OPI Japanese Rose Garden, a polish that I wanted for a really long time, finally got, but was sitting in my untrieds forever.  Japanese Rose Garden is a rose pink with a subtle shimmer.  It's opaque in two coats and has a very slight frost finish.  I decided to use OPI Excuse Moi as an accent on my pinky.

I wanted a little more shimmer for this mani, so I grabbed my Max Factor Fantasy Fire, a great shimmer top coat, and added one coat over Japanese Rose Garden.  They make a really pretty combo!

I wanted to include some nail art, so I then did a subtle stamping look with a new stamping plate that I got from Born Pretty Store, BP-13.  I used Sinful Colors Pink Forever for the design.

I really like how this mani turned out, though the stamping turned out to be much more subtle than the look I was going for.  What do you guys think?

The BP-13 stamping plate can be purchased online here for only .99 cents.  You may also use my discount code, MPL91, for 10% off your purchase.

Zoya Cho and some stamping

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For this week's Twinsie Tuesday, we're sharing manis where we got orders from someone else (significant other/BFF/family member).  My daughter helped me out with the mani for this challenge.

Isn't it a fun look?  My stamping still need work, but I really like the way this turned out.  I used a design from a stamping plate I got from Vivid Lacquer (VL 031).  This design has dots and circles.  I used a black polish to create the stamping design and my daughter helped me choose the colors to fill in the circles.

For my base, I used Zoya Cho.  A gorgeous nude with a hint of shimmer that was on my wish list for a long time.

Cho is such a great nude.  I love it with my skin tone.  I used three coats for full opacity because it was slightly streaky upon application.

Here's another look at the design for this week's theme.

What do you guys think of how this mani turned out?  Have you ever been given orders for what to do on your nails?

Don't forget to visit the other Twinsie Tuesday girls to see what orders they got this week for their manicures.

Nails Inc. Baker Street and I Love NP Matthew Peri

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

It's Monday once again!  I hope you all had an awesome weekend.

For Monday Blues, I have a gorgeous blue that I wanted for the longest time, Nails Inc. Baker Street.  My polish buddy Saira got it for me a while ago and I finally wore it a few days ago.

Baker Street is a lovely electric blue creme.  The formula could be a little better, IMO.  The first coat was pretty streaky, but it leveled out nicely with the second coat.  I decided to pair it with one coat of I <3 NP's Matthew Peri: light blue, silver and pink glitters in a clear base.  Another polish that has been sitting in my untrieds for way too long.  I topped the mani off with Out the Door top coat.

I love these two polishes together.  This mani definitely made me happy ;0).

What do you guys think of these two polishes?  Do you have any of them in your stash?
