Rescue Beauty Lounge - Insouciant

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For this week's Twinsie Tuesday post, we're supposed to share something new.  I recently ordered my first ever Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes, so I'll be sharing one of those ;0).

Insouciant is a mauve polish with a subtle shimmer.  It has a really good formula and is opaque in two easy coats.  I used Rejuvacote as a base, two coats of Insouciant, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

This polish is really pretty and also work-friendly.  It's a great palette cleanser.  Though the shimmer is visible, I just wish the shimmer was more visible on the nail.

I was intrigued by the name Insouciant and decided to look up the meaning.  It means showing a casual lack of concern or indifferent.  So, I learned a new word too ;0).

Don't forget to stop by the other Twinsies to see what new thing they'll be sharing.

Serum No. 5 - Friendly Tiffs and Girl's Gotta Eat

Hi everyone!!

It's Monday!!  I'm not blue about it because I'm still on vacation, woohoo!!!  To help take anyone else's blues away though, I have two Serum No. 5 beauties from the holiday 2013 collection to share with you.

Friendly Tiffs is a Tiffany blue base with blue microglitter.  It has a really good formula and is opaque in two coats.  I used no base or top coat.

Isn't it pretty?!!!  I love it so much!  I have nothing like it in my stash.

Not that Friendly Tiffs needed anything else, but I decided to add two coats of Girl's Gotta Eat, gold glitter and shimmer in a clear base.

I absolutely loved this combo!!  Both of these polishes are super pretty!

What do you guys think of these two polishes?  Do you like them together?

Indie Sunday - Painted Polish Swatches

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

For this week's Indie Sunday post, I decided to share two polishes from a new "to me" indie brand, Painted Polish.  I discovered this brand on Instagram and took advantage of their black Friday sale.  Here are the polishes I got.

District 1

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
District 1 is described as a nude linear holographic with a sprinkling of iridescent hex glitter.  It has a really good formula, a bit on the thick side, but it applies really well and is opaque in two coats.  I think it's such a beauty and I'm in love with it!

Effie

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Effie is described as a mint crelly with pink, lavender and mint hex and round glitters.  This one has a good formula and is also on the thick side.  I used three coats for full opacity.  I love the mixture of glitters and the base color is perfect!

I really like these two polishes and I'm looking forward to trying more polishes from this brand.  Have you ever tried any polishes from Painted Polish?  What do you think of District 1 and Effie?

Show Some Love Saturday

Hi everyone!!

Since I haven't worn Essence The Dawn is Broken in a really long time, I decided it was about time I showed it some love.  I went for a simple look, adding a cloud mani as an accent nail (since I'm obsessed with this look).  I used A-England Excalibur and Pure Nail Lacquer Limitless for the cloud mani.  My base coat was Rejuvacote and my top coat was Seche Vite.

I love this simple look!  The Dawn Is Broken, doesn't need much extra.  It's beautiful all on it's own.

What do you guys think of today's mani?

Serum No. 5 - Luxe So Good

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have another polish that I received from the Love, Preview campaign to share with you today!  Luxe So Good is also from Serum No. 5's holiday collection.  It's a silver holo with a great formula.  It's opaque in two coats and dries quickly.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Luxe So Good is such an awesome holo polish!  I didn't even need the sunlight to show off it's beauty!

Spectrum Cosmetics - Swatches & Review

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have a few polishes to share with you from a brand I've been watching on etsy for a while called Spectrum Cosmetics.  I finally decided to order some polishes a few weeks ago.

Puddle Jumping

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Sunlight
Puddle Jumping is described as a pastel sky blue nail polish with fine iridescent shimmer.  It's a really pretty polish.  The formula is good, but slightly streaky.  It requires three coats for full opacity.  Above, I used three coats with no base or top coat.

Peony

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Peony is described as a pastel pink with fine iridescent shimmer.  This one also required three coats for full opacity as it was slightly streaky.  The formula was manageable though.  And it's even prettier in person.  Above, I used three coats with no base or top coat.

Petals

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Petals is described as a pastel lavender nail polish with fine iridescent shimmer.  The formula is a bit thick but manageable.  It's opaque in two coats.  The shimmer is so pretty in this polish.  I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Brom Bones

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
Brom Bones is described as a dusty blue creme polish.  It's formula was great.  It applied easily and was opaque in two coats.  I used no base or top coat.

Overall, I like these polishes from Spectrum Cosmetics.  They're all really pretty.  Though Brom Bones isn't as girly as the first three, it's still a great color.  You guys know I love my dusty shades.

What do you guys think of these polishes?  Have you tried anything from this brand?
