The Lady Varnishes - It's Not Fair!!

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have a polish to share from a new to me indie brand, The Lady Varnishes.  It's Not Fair is described as a pale gray/blue varnish with different sized hexes in pink, blue, white, copper and iridescent purple.
The formula for this polish was thick and goopy :(.  I used thinner twice and it was still really thick, so I had to be so careful when applying it.  It also chipped a lot the next day.  I used Nail Magic as a base, three coats of It's Not Fair, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I love the cute charms that come with each bottle and I think this is a really pretty polish, but the formula wasn't great at all. I was very disappointed because I wanted to love it.  Hopefully the others I purchased are better.

What do you guys think of this polish?

Paint Job Nail Lacquer - Swatches & Review

Hi everyone!!

I have some more polishes from Paint Job Nail Lacquer to review for you.

Peel Out

Peel Out is a sheer yellow base with black and white hex and bar glitter.  It applies really well.  Since it's sheer, it doesn't give full opacity.  Here I used three coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Sunlight
Peel out is especially gorgeous in the sunlight!!  I was surprised at how much I liked it.

Drop Top

Drop Top is a sheer deep pink jelly base with a mixture of colorful glitters.  This one is also sheer, so it doesn't reach full opacity.  Here I used three coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light
This is a really fun and unique polish.  I think I may layer it when I try it again.

4th Gear

4th Gear is a light blue crelly base packed with gorgeous shimmer and red, white, and blue glitter.  It's super pretty!!  The formula was a bit thick, so I had to add some thinner to it.  It was great once I added the thinner.  I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Sunlight
I love this polish a lot!!  It's a really pretty combo of colors.

Cruise Control

Cruise Control is a light pink crelly base packed with shimmer and pink and blue glitter.  This was also a bit thick, but with care it applied well.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Sunlight
This goes without saying, but I think this one is super pretty.  I mean pink and blue!  Come on, it's a given.  Love it!

I'm In Neutral

I'm in Neutral is a cream jelly base with orange and gold circle, hex and square glitters.  The formula is perfect, it applied so well.  It was fully opaque in two coats.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

I'm in Neutral is my personal favorite.  I'm slightly biased because it's a custom that Melinda made for me, but it turned out even better than I expected.  I love the pop of gold and orange against the cream base.  Love it!!!

What do you guys think of these new additions from Paint Job?  Any favorites?

Paint Job Nail Lacquer may be purchased online here.  Prices range from $5 to $7.

Show Some Love Saturday

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

This week I was in the mood for a gradient, so I decided to grab Essence A Lovely Secret and Nails Inc Pembroke Close and show them some love.  After doing the gradient, I topped it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust.  Here's how it turned out.

This was such a simple and pretty manicure. It's exactly what I was looking for.

And this week, I'd like to show some love to Traci from Drinkcitra.  She always has the most perfect gradients.  I love her beautiful manis.  You should definitely follow her blog, she's such a sweetheart.

What do you all think of today's gradient?

Kiko - 343

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today I'm sharing a polish that I got from one of my favorite polish people, Saira.  343 is a beautiful green creme.  It's slightly thick, but has a really good formula and is opaque in two coats.

On my ring finger I applied Revlon Street Wear Bburnt and added two coats of Revlon Street Wear FX Flash (another polish I got from Claudia). I used Nail Magic Nail Hardener as a base and, for my top coat, Seche Vite.

Morgan Taylor - Swatches & Review

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have swatches to share with you from a brand called Morgan Taylor. It's my first time using this brand and I haven't seen it prior to receiving them for review. As far as I know, it's a relatively new brand.

For all of my swatches I used two coats with no top coat.

Scene Queen

Scene Queen is a light gray packed with silver micro shimmer. It's slightly streaky, but levels out nicely in two coats.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Water Baby

Water Baby is a baby blue creme. It's streaky, but thicker coats help with that problem.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Color Me Bold

Color Me Bold is a lovely coral crelly. It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Best Dressed

Best Dressed looks like a duochrome of red and orange in the bottle, but it didn't translate to the nail. It's a deep red with lots of shimmer and has a metallic finish.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

J'adore My Mani

J'adore My Mani is a burgundy packed with glitter. It gives great coverage in just one coat and dries to an almost sandy finish.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Rare As Rubies

Rare As Rubies is a red jelly base with red hex glitters. It applies really well and gives great glitter coverage. There's still slight VNL after two coats, but it's hardly noticeable.

Artificial Light

Sunlight
I love the variety of colors and finishes of these polishes. I had no issues with the formulas. Based on these polishes, it seems to be a really good brand.

My favorites are Queen Scene, Color Me Bold and Rare as Rubies. Do you have any favorites? Have you seen/used this brand before?

Morgan Taylor polishes may be purchased online at www.nailtechsupply.com for $4.25 a bottle.

Zoya - Crystal

Hi everyone!!

I have polish that I received as a birthday gift from Elizabeth to share with you today. Zoya Crystal is described as a light, silvered shiny blue metallic foil with sparks of brilliant yellow gold.  Crystal is sheer, so it required three coats for full opacity.  It has a great formula and applied really well.  Here, I used three coats with no base or top coat.

This is a really stunning polish!!  The combo of the blue and gold is so pretty.  I have nothing like it in my stash, so I'm happy to have it.

What do you guys think of Crystal?  Did you ever pick this one up?
