D&R Apothecary - Tea-Stained Linen

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today I have a polish from a new "to me" brand that I discovered a few months ago, D&R Apothecary.  Tea-Stained Linen is described as a cream crelly base with brown, gold, caramel and copper hex glitters in fine to large sizes; in both metallic and holographic finishes.

Tea-Stained Linen has a really good formula.  It applies really well and wasn't streaky like I expected.  It was fully opaque in two coats.  I used Nail Magic Nail Hardener as a base coat, two coats of Tea-Stained Linen, Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I love polishes like this.  It's fun, but still simple.  I think it's definitely work appropriate.

What do you guys think of Tea-Stained Linen?

D&R Apothecary polishes can be purchased online here.  Full size bottles are $8.

Pink Jelly Sandwich

Hi everyone!!

I have a pink/peach jelly from Essie to share with you today.  I picked this one up polish shopping with Lauretta and Mara at Cosmetic Market back in February.  Unfortunately, it had no name.  I got so many suggestions of what it was on IG, but I'm still unsure of what it is.

Anyhoo, it's a very sheer jelly, so I decided to make a jelly sandwich.  After adding one coat of polish, I added a coat of Victoria Secret Supercharged and then a coat OPI Pirouette My Whistle.  I then added a final coat of the nameless Essie.  For my base, I used Sally Hansen Triple Strong and my top coat was Dazzle Dry.

This is such a beautiful combo!!  I love how sparkly it is, but yet subtle.  Aaaahhh, how I love these girly manis!  I'm so glad to have this jelly.

What do you guys think of today's jelly sandwich?  Don't you hate when there is no name on a polish you purchase?

Cirque - Curiosity

Hi everyone!!

This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is to share the best polish for the transition from spring to summer. Can I just say I wish we actually had spring in NYC?!!  We went to 80 or close to it for one day, otherwise it's been in the 50s and sooooo cold.  I'm not happy about it at all.

Anyhoo, this was a hard decision for me.  I have so many polishes that it was hard to come up with just one polish that would be best.  Then the thought occurred to me that red can work for anytime of year, so I decided to grab Cirque Curiosity. It's a beautiful red jelly with golden shimmer that I picked up earlier this year.  It provides good coverage in two coats, but is sheer so there was still slight VNL. I used no base or top coat in these pics.

I decided to do a sandwich with Sally Hansen Copper Penny and here is how it turned out.

OPI Can't Find My Czechbook and Daring Digits Boys Like Me

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have the gorgeous turquoise creme from Euro Centrale Collection to share with you today.  Can't Find My Czechbook is slightly thin, but applies well.  It requires two coats for full opacity. It's such a lovely shade, I love it!

On my middle and ring finger, I'm wearing Daring Digits Boys Like Me.  It's a sheer blue jelly base with black and silver hex glitter and blue micro glitter.  It's really sheer and I really needed another coat.  Here I used two coats with Sally Hansen Triple Strong as a base and Dazzle Dry Top Coat.

Show Some Love Saturday

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

This week, I decided to show some love to Finger Paints Blank Canvas Cream and Tapping Tips Pink Frost.  I haven't worn these two in months.  I decided to simply layer a coat of Pink Frost over Blank Canvas Cream for a soft neutral look.

Artificial Light

I also wanted to show some love to Anne from Grape Fizz Nails, one of my twinsies, and this is the perfect way.  She always has a really soft look on her beautiful nails, which I love.  I used Nail Magic Nail Hardener as a base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat for this manicure.

This is a really pretty combo.  When I wore it, I kept moving my nails to see the beautiful sparkle.

If you don't follow Anne's blog, you should definitely go check it out at the link above.  In addition to soft looks, she does some pretty creations as well.  Go check out her beautiful nails!

What do you guys think of this mani?  Is it too simple for you or do you need a simple look every now and then?

Zoya Sooki & Pahlish Anticipating and Pacing

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today I have Zoya Sooki, which I received as a gift from Maribeth, to share with you today.  Sooki is a red crelly with a great formula.  It applies really well and is opaque in two coats.  I decided to add Anticipating and Pacing from Pahlish's Coney Island Queen collection as an accent nail on my ring finger.  I then thought, why not add it to part of the nail over Sooki also?  So I free handed the polish diagonally and added Sooki to the ring finger.

Artificial Light
I really like the way these two look together!  Anticipating and Pacing also applies well and has great glitter coverage.  It was opaque in two coats.  I used Tip Top Nail Build as a base and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat for this mani.

Colores de Carol - Blizzard

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!!

This polish is really pretty, but in person, I felt it was too white against my skin tone.  I decided to add more color by free handing Beauty UK Aztec and A-England Excalibur on my nails alternately.

Artificial Light

I really liked the addition of the gold and silver to this polish.  It made a great combo.

What do you guys think of Blizzard?  Is this your kind of polish?

Mavala - Candy Floss

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

Today, I have a Mavala polish to share with you.  I received this one from Lauretta when she visited NYC.  Candy Floss is a bubble gum pink creme with shimmer.  The formula is slightly patchy, but there is good coverage if you use thicker coats.  I decided to use Pirouette My Whistle as an accent.

This is such a beautiful pink, it's my kind of color ;0).  I think it looks even prettier with Pirouette My Whistle, what about you?

For my base, I used Sally Hansen Triple Strong and I used Dazzle Dry Top Coat.

What do you guys think of this girly pink?  Do you own any Mavala polishes?

Twinsie Tuesday Revisited!

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

This week's Twinsie Tuesday theme is to revisit any challenge we particularly enjoyed.  I enjoyed many challenges, so I had to narrow it down.  I decided to go with saran wrap since I haven't done it in a long time.  I decided to use Pure Nail Lacquer Lucid and Honesty, Lucid was my base.  I then added Beauty Secrets Top Coat.

I love these two colors together, they make a really fun combo!

I absolutely love this polish!!! The only thing is I needed a ridge filler with this polish. It's difficult to see in the pics, but I didn't like seeing the imperfections in my nails.  It's an awesome holo though!!

What do you guys think of Blue Heaven?  Did you grab any Halo Hues up?

Don't forget the other Monday Blues gals!
