Neener Neener Nails - Swatches & Review

Hi everyone!!!

I have more polishes from Neener Neener Nails to share with you.  I'm so loving this brand right now!!

First up is Marce Fox!

When I saw this beauty, I knew I needed it in my life!  Here's Nettie's description: Marce Fox nail polish was named after a lady that always makes me smile just like this polish does when I see it. A bright pink jelly base that has a fine sparkly glitter floating around to glitz up your nails. Yellow, pink and white glitters have been added to this fun filled polish.

I decided to layer one coat of Marce Fox over Revlon Plum Seduction.  It applied really well with a good amount of glitter coverage.

Sunlight
How pretty is this polish?  I love the combo of colors in this one.  It makes me smile too ;0).

Next up is High Tide!

Another polish I knew I needed to have.  High Tide starts of with a crelly light pastel blue base with blue. teal and lavender small glitters in different shapes.  It has a good formula formula, but was more sheer than I expected, so it required three coats.  It applied really well though.  No top coat was used in these pics.

Sunlight
This is a really unique polish and I love that about it.

I was also sent two of her new polishes for review which are being released today.  The first is Lilac Lane.

Lilac Lane has a sheer lilac jelly base with a mixture of lilac and white glitter.  It applies really well.  Here I layered one coat ove Sally Hansen No Hard Feelings  with no top coat.

Artificial Light

Natural Light
Because the lilac glitter didn't show so well over the light base, I decided to layer it over a darker shade of purple also, NOPI I'm A Belieber. Here I used Beauty Secrets Top coat because it does dry to a slightly gritty finish.

Artificial Light

Sunlight
This is a really lovely combo of glitter.  I love it over both the light and dark purple.

Finally, Coral Reef.

Coral Reef is tough for me to describe, but I'll try.  It's a sheer coral base with golden microflakes and medium fuchsia hex glitter.  It's a really unique combo, but somehow it works.  It applies really well and there is great coverage of the gold flakies, but the fuchsia glitter is sparse.  I layered two coats over Essie Meet Me At Sunset.

Sunlight
The sunlight pic, is my absolute favorite.  I just love how this polish sparkles on the nail.  It's a really great mixture of glitter and flakies.  And I think it's just the right amount of fuchsia glitter.  Any more would've been too much.

Neener Neener Nails polishes may be purchased online at etsy here.  Prices range between $6.50 and $8.75 depending on the polish.

**Lilac Lane and Coral Reef were sent for my honest review.  Marche Fox and High Tide were purchased by me.**

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by Culture

Hi everyone!!

Today's Twinsie Tuesday challenge was to do something inspired by our culture.  I decided to use the flag from my country.

Do you know what country it is?  I was born in Guyana, which is in South America.  I lived there for 8 years before moving to the States.  I'm grateful to visit every few years and be in the warmth, eating fresh fruit and foods from my culture.

Here are the polishes I used:
Index: Revlon Fire Fox
Middle: Tip Top Creme Brulee
Ring: Revlon Fire Fox, Nicka K Noir (black), Tip Top Creme Brulee, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Barry M Emerald Green
Pinky: Barry M Emerald Green
Top Coat: Beauty Secrets

I added Beauty Secrets Top Coat to all nails.

I free handed the flag, so it wasn't perfect, but it came out pretty close to the original, which you can see below.

Just a little bit about the Guyanese flag:
Guyana's Flag is also called The Golden Arrowhead. It has 5 symbolic colors. GREEN represents the agricultural and forested nature of Guyana, WHITE symbolizes the rivers and water potential of the country, a GOLDEN arrow represents Guyana's mineral wealth, BLACK symbolizes endurance and RED represents the zeal and dynamism.

You can find out more about Guyana here and here.

What do you guys think of this mani?  Where are you from?

I'm looking forward to seeing how my twinsies were inspired by their cultures.  Be sure to check them out!

Colores de Carol - Denim & Diamonds

Hi everyone!!

For Monday blues, I have another polish by Colores de Carol to share with you.  I'm finally getting around to showing her babies some love ;0).  Denim & Diamonds is a sheer blue jelly base with blue microglitter, blue small hex glitter and silver square glitter.  It applied well, but I had to fish for silver glitter, it kept running off the brush.   I had no other issues though.  Here, I used two coats over Essence Hard to Resist with no top coat.

PURE Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Hi everyone!!!

I have a few polishes to share with you from a brand new polish line called Pure Nail Lacquer. If you follow my Instagram account, you've probably seen a few pictures of them already. I had the pleasure of meeting Danielle, Pure Nail Lacquer's creator, at a trade show event in Brooklyn a few weeks ago and was impressed by the colors she created. Below are the polishes I purchased.

Innocence

A deep gray creme, Innocence was slightly patchy on the first coat, but is fully opaque and even on the second coat. Here I used two coats with no top coat.

Loyal

Loyal is an eggplant purple creme with a good formula.  It applies really well and is fully opaque in two coats.  Here I used two coats with no top coat.

Artificial Light

Natural Light

Lucid

Lucid is a lovely blue jelly with a great formula.  It applies really well and though it doesn't get completely opaque (it is a jelly after all), it's very pigmented.

Lucid makes an awesome jelly sandwich.  Check out the pic I posted on IG here.

Honesty

This neon pink totally freaked my camera out.  It was hard to capture the true color on camera, it's even brighter in real life, but these are the pictures that came closest.  The first coat was slightly streaky, but it leveled out nicely with the second coat.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Artificial Light

Passion

Deep red and holo glitters in a clear base, Passion is a really unique polish.  It takes three coats for full opacity and it does dry to a gritty finish, so top coat is definitely required!  Here I used three coats on its own.  Top coat was used in the two pictures below.

Below is one coat of Passion over Loyal.  I used Seche Vite Top Coat.

Artificial Light
I absolutely love Passion over Loyal.  It makes a really pretty combo!!

I personally love all of these polishes, but if I had to choose, my two favorites of this bunch would be Innocence and Lucid.  What are your favorites?

PURE Nail Polish may be purchased online at http://purebeautyshoppe.myshopify.com.  The cremes/jellies are $5 and the glitters are $7.  Great price right?!  There are over 17 colors in the collection, so you should definitely check them out.

Colores de Carol - Inner Princess

Hi everyone!!!

I have a Colores de Carol  pretty to share with you today!!  Inner Princess is described as a white base with navy blue flakes, mix of multicolored glitter and aqua stars shape glitter.  It has a great formula that's not too thin or thick.  It applied really well and isn't streaky at all.  I used Tip Top Nail Rebuild as a base, 3 coats of Inner Princess, Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.
