Morgan Taylor - Swatches & Review

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I have swatches to share with you from a brand called Morgan Taylor. It's my first time using this brand and I haven't seen it prior to receiving them for review. As far as I know, it's a relatively new brand.

For all of my swatches I used two coats with no top coat.

Scene Queen

Scene Queen is a light gray packed with silver micro shimmer. It's slightly streaky, but levels out nicely in two coats.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Water Baby

Water Baby is a baby blue creme. It's streaky, but thicker coats help with that problem.

Color Me Bold

Color Me Bold is a lovely coral crelly. It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Best Dressed

Best Dressed looks like a duochrome of red and orange in the bottle, but it didn't translate to the nail. It's a deep red with lots of shimmer and has a metallic finish.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

J'adore My Mani

J'adore My Mani is a burgundy packed with glitter. It gives great coverage in just one coat and dries to an almost sandy finish.

Artificial Light

Sunlight

Rare As Rubies

Rare As Rubies is a red jelly base with red hex glitters. It applies really well and gives great glitter coverage. There's still slight VNL after two coats, but it's hardly noticeable.

I love the variety of colors and finishes of these polishes. I had no issues with the formulas. Based on these polishes, it seems to be a really good brand.

My favorites are Queen Scene, Color Me Bold and Rare as Rubies. Do you have any favorites? Have you seen/used this brand before?

Morgan Taylor polishes may be purchased online at www.nailtechsupply.com for $4.25 a bottle.

  2. Looking at the pictures of Scene Queen, Water Baby, and Color Me Bold they all look beautiful but the pics indoors and outdoors make them look like entirely different polishes! Scene Queen looks beige indoors and gray outdoor, Water Baby looks white indoors and blue outdoors, and Color Me Bold looks like two different shades of coral in the different lights. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I like to show it in different lightings for that very reason. Polishes tend to take on a different look. They're actually not very different though. Water Baby still looks blue indoors.
