Time For Romance Pinkalicious

Hi everyone!!

Do you like my fun title?  That's me trying to be cute, lol.  Well, my original plan was to share Maybelline's Pinkalicious with you for Pink Wednesday.  It's a sheer barbie pink creme.  However, the formula was so horrible, that even after three coats, it was still streaky, so I had to add a little something to make it better.  Here are three coats of Pinkalicious with no base or top coat.

To be honest, I only picked this one up because of the name.  I thought it was so cute and reminds me of a character from a book my daughter used to read.  I really didn't need it.  However, I didn't expect the formula to be so bad.

To fix this problem, I reached for a glitter (of course).  I saw Essence Time For Romance staring at me, saying "I can fix this for you, just give me a chance to prove it to you."  How could I ignore it?  So I decided to add a coat over Pinkalicious.

Time For Romance is a sheer deep pink jelly base with rose microglitter and small hex glitter.  I received this one from Cheryl (@cherily) in a swap.  It darkened the mani a bit, but it made such a pretty combo.  I was really happy with the end result of this mani.  It's perfect for Pink Wednesday.  Glitter has saved the day once again ;0).

What do you guys think of this combo?  Have you tried Pinkalicious or Time For Romance?

  1. I really adore the pink colour but I don't have enough patience for sheer polishes so I guess I'll have to give it a miss :(
Thanks for sharing and yep, glitter saves the day.....AGAIN!

  3. It's a pretty color. Too bad about the formula. I never know what to do with polishes like this. I would give them away but I don't want to give bad stuff to other people so I always end up keeping them.
I love Time for romance! And it looks great over this too. I only wore it by itself and been meaning to layer it over something. It's a great glitter.

    1. I know exactly what you mean. I end up throwing them out, which I hate. I may try watermarbling with it first though to see if it's good for that.

  5. I'm sorry about the issues, but this would make a pretty jelly sandwich with the right baby pink jelly.
