This Twinsie Tuesday, our task was to do a saran wrap manicure. For those who don't know what that means, it's using saran/plastic wrap to create a design on your nails.
I wanted to do something simple, so I started off with one of my favorite gray polishes, China Glaze Recycle. I then used the saran wrap to add Sally Hansen No Hard Feelings. I finished the manicure off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I really like this manicure a lot! Purple and gray are such a great combination and it gave me the simple look I was looking for.
A tip when doing saran wrap manicures: ALWAYS wait until the first coat is completely dry. If it isn't, the polish will lift as you dab the saran wrap on the nail.

ReplyDeleteThis is very subtle and pretty. There are so many variations of the saran mani. I usually paint my base; let it dry. Then I paint the next color and while it is still wet I press the saran wrap over it a few times. I will try your technique.
