Sally Hansen - So Much Fawn

Hi everyone!! Happy Pink Wednesday!

Today I have a pretty dusty rose creme to share with you.  I picked up So Much Fawn recently when there was a huge sale on some of Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure polishes in Walgreens.  I picked up a few actually.  I couldn't pass up these polishes for $1.99.

The formula for So Much Fawn was a bit thick and slightly runny, but it applied really well.  I just had to be careful that it didn't get to my cuticles.  I really like the wide brush that these polishes have and this one was a one coater!  The only other Complete Salon Manicure polish that I tried, Loves Me Not, was a one coater as well.  Nice job Sally Hansen!!

In these pics, I used Nail Life Revitalizer as a base, two coats of So Much Fawn, and Nubar Diamont top coat.

This is not my usual pink, but I really like it!  It's such a pretty clean look.  A great palette cleanser!

What do you guys think of So Much Fawn?  Do you like these types of pinks?

Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Swatches & Review

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

I  have a few polishes to share with you from Sally Hansen's Nailgrowth Miracle line.  I've seen these polishes in several drugstores, but I've only tried one, Innocent Nude.  They come in many different colors and finishes.

I love that this polish has a wide brush, my favorite.

First up is Profound Pink!

Artificial Light

Profound Pink is a light pink frost that applied easily and evenly without any problems.  It's sheer, so there was still VNL after two coats.  Brushstrokes were also visible, which is the one thing I don't like about frosts.  Here I used two coats with no base or top coat.

Natural Light
I added a third coat to see if there would be a difference and there was still VNL.

I like that this polish dried quickly.  It's a very simple polish, good for a palette cleanser or if you don't like "loud" polishes.

Loyal Lavender

Loyal Lavender is the most beautiful lavender shimmer.  The first two coats were streaky, so I added a third coat and it evened out nicely.  I used no base or top coat.

I'm so in love with this color and its beautiful shimmer.  It's definitely my type of shade.

Blazing Sunset

Blazing Sunset is a deep coral that leans pink with a hint of shimmer.  Application was super easy.  It was sheerer than I expected and had a slight bit of VNL at certain angles.  But there was good coverage with two coats.  I used no base or top coat.

This polish dried very quickly, which was great.  I think it's a lovely, "mature" color.  Not very young and hip, but very work-friendly.

Gorgeous Grape

Gorgeous Grape is a taupe creme that leans purple.  It's not what I expected, given the name.  I thought it would be much more purple.  I still like it though.

The formula was slightly runny, so I experienced some pooling at the cuticles, but it was manageable.  It was fully opaque in two coats.  Here it is with no top coat.

I love that this polish dried quickly and to a beautiful shine.

Overall, I really liked these polishes.  I can't speak to if it helps with nail growth because I didn't wear the polishes long enough, but I loved the formula.

My personal favorite was Lovely Lavender.  No surprise there right?

Nailgrowth Miracle polishes can be found at most drugstores (i.e., Rite Aid, Duane Reade, Walgreens, CVS, Target) and is about $6 per bottle.

What was your favorite of these polishes?   Have you ever tried this line from Sally Hansen?

Wet n Wild - 9.0.2.1.Orange

Hi everyone!!

For this Twinsie Tuesday, we're supposed to do a halloween inspired post.  I don't celebrate halloween, but I still wanted to participate, so I decided to do a color that makes me think of fall.  What better that orange to represent the changing leaves and the pumpkins?!

9.0.2.1.Orange is a sheer orange shimmer from Wet n Wild's Fast Dry line.  I've had this pretty thing for so long (about a year) and this is my first time wearing it.  Such a shame.

Here is 9.0.2.1.Orange on its own, two coats.

This is such a beautiful orange shimmer!!  But you guys know I'm not a fan of VNL, so I decided to layer a coat of  9.0.2.1.Orange over two coats of Sinful Colors Courtney Orange since it's so sheer.  I also added an accent nail with China Glaze Blonde Bombshell.

This is such a beautiful fall color. It reminds me of a sparkly pumpkin, lol. I just love the golden shimmer in it.

What do you guys think of 9.0.2.1.Orange?  Are you a fan of orange polish?

I'm sure my twinsies will have lots of fun nail art in store for us today.  Be sure to check out their posts!

Pretty & Polished - You Are Beautiful/BCA

Hi everyone!!  Time for another Polish Us Pink post!  For the last post, I thought it would be fitting to use polishes dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

When I saw that Chelsea at Pretty & Polished had a duo made for Breast Cancer Awareness month, I just had to get it.  All of the profits from the sales will be going to Little Red Door of Delaware County.

You Are Beautiful is a beautiful pink with hot pink flakes and shimmer.  It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.  It has a really great formula!  And I love the shade of pink, it really looks like the pink that is used for the pink ribbon.  BCA has a clear base with pink holo hex glitter.

I used Nail Life Revitalizer as a base and Nubar Diamont for my top coat with this mani.

Artificial Light
I wanted to have some fun with it instead of topping the base color with glitter, so I decided to tape off my index finger (after adding glitter) and created an "x" design that I saw on Instagram recently.  I then used the striping tape on my ring finger to create the shape of the ribbon with hubby's help.  I wanted the glitter to peek through.

As you can see the ribbon was almost successful, ALMOST.  I still kept it anyway because after it took so long trying to get it, I had no patience left.

On my thumb, I just added BCA to You Are Beautiful.  Love this combo!

I loved all the nails together.
I really had fun with this mani and hope you guys like it as well.

Though Breast Cancer Awareness Month is almost over, it doesn't mean we have to forget how serious this disease is and no longer pay attention to it.  Be sure to continue to do your self exams (I really need to make that a habit) and help in any way you can!

Check out the other manis done for this challenge!
