Cosmetic Arts - Violet with KB Shimmer Diva

Hi everyone!!

I have another pretty purple mani to share today! Can you tell I'm a purple lover? ;0)  I picked up a pretty deep violet polish by Cosmetic Arts when I was in Vegas for $1.99.  It has a frosty type of finish and some visible brush strokes, but applies very easily and is opaque in two coats.  I used Nail Life (Nail Revitalizer) as a base (I'm trying it out to see how I like it) and two coats of polish with no base coat.

I then decided to add KB Shimmer Diva as accent nails then added Seche Vite.

Artificial Light

Diva is in a sheer grape jelly base and contains several sizes of holographic silver glitter along with aqua and pink holographic glitter.  It applied evenly and has such a fun sparkle.  I'm in love!

I love these two polishes and they're perfect together!  Ever wear a mani where you look at your hands and smile?  This was one of those.

What do you guys think of these two polishes?

KB Shimmer polishes can be purchased on Christy's Etsy page here.  Full size bottles are $8.50.  They're also sold online at Harlow & Co. for $9 a bottle.

Essence - Breakthrough

Hi everyone!!

I have a beautiful Essence polish to share today.  I got Breakthrough from Cheryl (@cherily), one of my polish buddies on Instagram.  We decided to do a swap and since she has easy access to Essence polishes, she offered to get me a few from my wish list.

Breakthrough is a gorgeous purple creme with an excellent formula.  It applied easily and evenly and dried quickly.  Here, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, two coats of Breakthrough, and no top coat.

I decided to add an accent nail with Pocket Full of Posies from Two Birds One Store, a franken created by my fellow twinsie Sarah.  Pocket Full of Posies is an awesome glitter.  It contains small neon pink and blue square glitters with medium matte purple hexes and huge purple hexes. It applies evenly and there is a good amount of glitter with just one coat.  I added Seche Vite to the mani afterward.

I really loved this mani.  Breakthrough is such a great purple and the two go so well together.

What do you guys think of Breakthrough and Pocket Full of Posies?

Revlon Minted and Cult Nails Hypnotize Me

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!

Today, I have two polishes to share with you.  The first is Revlon Minted, which I got in a blog sale from Dana.  It's a pretty mint green crelly, but formula is very streaky.  It didn't level out very well either.  Here I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base and two coats of Minted with no top coat.

To cover up the streakiness, I decided to add Cult Nails Hypnotize Me.  I got Hypnotize me from my polish buddy Crystal in a swap. Hypnotize me is a sheer green jelly with green and holographic microglitter.  Here, I added one coat of Hypnotize me over Minted.

These two made a nice combo and I was happy that Hypnotize Me was able to hide the imperfections in Minted.

What do you guys think of these two?  Are you into mint green?

Stripes

Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!

When I was wearing the In Style/Hocus Pocus combo, I decided to add some stripes to them.  I used striping tape and placed them horizontally on my nails.  I then added Nails Inc. Fashion's Night Out.

This mani ended up having a darker look than I expected, but it still came out really nice.  I loved how the holo peeked through the stripes.  I wish it was more visible in the pics for you guys.

What do you guys think of this look?

Butter London - Disco Biscuit

Hi everyone!!  Happy Pink Wednesday!

Today, I'm sharing a Butter London polish for the first time.  I have maybe two or three in my stash that I received in swaps.  I just can't bring myself to spend more than $10 on a polish.  Disco Biscuit is the first one I've given a try, I got from Saira in our recent swap.  This is yet another polish I had on my wish list.

Disco Biscuit is a fuschia jelly with gorgeous fuschia and holographic microglitter.  I didn't expect it to be so sheer, but it has a really good formula.  I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, three coats of Disco Biscuit, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

This is such a "me" color!  I love the sparkle of the microglitter it has.  Just a note, this polish does dry to a slightly gritty finish, so top coat is definitely needed.

What do you guys think of Disco Biscuit?  Any suggestions of colors to layer it over?

Hits - Hefesto

Hi everyone!!

This Twinsie Tuesday, we have to share a polish that is the color of our car.  My car is silver and the only silver polish I have is A-England Excalibur, which I've already shared.  So, the closest polish I have other than that is Hits Hefesto, a gorgeous silver holo.  I received Hefesto from a sweet girl in Brazil named Paola.  She reached out to me to do a swap and after months of us waiting for our packages, we finally got them.

Hefesto was sheer, so I had to use three coats.  It has an awesome formula though, it applied evenly and without any problems.  I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, three coats of Hefesto, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Close up

I had to do another close up of this beauty ;0)

And a shot next to my car.  Pretty close no?

So while my car isn't holographic, which would be cool, (but also dangerous because of how distracting it would be to other drivers) Hefesto does come pretty close to the color of my car.  LOL!

What do you guys think of Hefesto?  Your kind of holo?  Do you have a color that matches your car?

I'm looking forward to seeing the colors my twinsies chose this week.  Be sure to stop by their pages to check out their posts!

A-England - Order of the Garter

Hi everyone!!  Happy Monday!  My weekend was quite hectic and ended way too quickly, but I'm trying to be positive ;0).

Today I have an A-England that I got from Saira (my good polish friend) in a swap.  I wanted Order of the Garter for a while after seeing a few swatches of it, so I was so excited when Saira offered to get it for me.  Order of the Garter is a beautiful, deep blue with a great formula.  It has lovely shimmer in it.  Here, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, two coats of Order of the Garter, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.
