Cult Nails - Evil Queen

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have the last of the Cult Nails Fairy Tale collection to share with you.  Evil Queen is such a gorgeous, vibrant red.  It gives full coverage in one coat, but I used two because there was the slightest bit of VNL with just one coat.  As with most of my CN polishes, Evil Queen applied flawlessly and dried fairly quickly.  Here I used, Sally Hansen Diamond Strength and two coats of Evil Queen, no top coat.

Look how shiny and bright it is, even without a top coat.  It's the perfect red for summer.

What do you guys think of Evil Queen?  Your kind of red?

The Polish Well - Invidia Envy

Hi everyone!!

Today I have a polish that I purchased from Mich over at The Polish Well.  She recently started dabbling in frankening and when she shared her pics, I just knew I had to try some of them.  Invidia Envy is a clear base with medium green hex glitter and green microglitter.  Sounds simple right.  Well, let's take a look at it on its own.  Here is two coats with no top coat.

I then decided to try Invidia Envy over black.  This is one coat over NK Noir and no top coat.

Now, tell me that isn't absolutely gorgeous!!!  Oh, that's right, you can't!  Because it's so amazing!!  I really loved it over the black.

Finally, when I was wearing Zoya Zuza, I decided to add Invidia Envy for a fun, sparkly look.  I used Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat over it.

Isn't this a pretty combo?  I liked it a lot!

Rainbow Honey - Pinkie Promise

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!

Today I have the last of my Rainbow Honey polishes to share with you.  For now anyway, I just ordered a few more ;0).

Pinkie Promise is described as a fun and shimmery pink base filled with hex and tinsel glitter in magenta, light blue, and gold.  I decided to layer it over Cosmetic Arts Pink, which I shared with you last week. On my index and pinky fingers, I decided to tape off the nail first and then applied Pinkie Promise at the tip.  I used one coat of Pinkie Promise and then topped it off with Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Pinkie Promise was really easy to apply and because it has tons of glitter, I had no problems with getting full coverage.  I'm looking forward to trying it over other polishes.

What do you think of Pinkie Promise?

Rainbow Honey polishes can be purchased here. Full size bottles (15ml) are $10. I purchased a mini (7 ml) for $5.

Twinsie Tuesday - Color Blocking

Hi everyone!!

This Twinsie Tuesday, we had to share a color blocking mani.  I tried to do a design similar to one I saw on Pinterest here.  I remembered seeing it, but at the time, I had no idea where I had the picture of it stored and tried to recreate it from memory.

Artificial Light
As you can see, it's not exactly like the original, but I still really like it.  I just wished I used more contrasting colors, it's difficult to see them all.

I was wearing a combo Cult Nails Evil Queen and Lilacquer Bakeneko, which I'll share in a later post.  I then taped off half of each nail vertically and added Zoya Myrta.  Once that was dry, I taped off the nail diagonally and added Orly Sapphire Silk.  I finished everything off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I have so many pics at different angles so you could see all three of the colors.  I really like this design a lot.  I plan to try it again with more contrasting colors so you can see the difference.

What do you guys think of this look?  Do you do color blocking manis?

Be sure to stop by the other twinsies to see what color blocking manis they came up with.

Hi everyone!!

I have a beauty to take your Monday blues away.  Arctic Sunrise is a gorgeous sky Blue with pink shimmer from Girly Bits.  The shimmer is very prominent and makes this polish really special.  It has an excellent formula (easy to apply) and is fully opaque in two coats.  Here I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength, two coats of Arctic Sunrise and a coat of Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Zoya - Zuza

Hi everyone!!

Today I have a polish from Zoya's summer collection.  I got three minis as a part of the Pinterest trio that Zoya was giving away.  Zuza is a pretty green, very reminiscent of the beautiful water at the beach in the Caribbean.  It has lots of shimmer in it and dries to an almost foil finish.

Zuza has a great formula and is a one coater.  It applies evenly and smoothly without any issues.  I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, two coats of Zuza, and no top coat.

How perfect is this polish?  Such a pretty green and awesome application!  I love it!

What do you guys think of Zuza?  Did you pick it up or anything else from Zoya's summer collection?

Polka Dots

Hi everyone!!  I'm so glad it's Saturday, aren't you?

I just have a quick mani I did recently to share with you today.  When I was wearing OPI I'm All Ears, I decided to try out a polka dot look that I'd been seeing on blogs and Instagram.  So I pulled out Color Club Fashion Addict and Color Club Wild At Heart.  I wanted a sparkle effect with the dots from the holo.

I really liked how this turned out, despite the VNL from I'm All Ears (grrrrrr...).   I just wish the holo showed up a bit more.

What do you guys think of this look?  Have you tried anything like this?

Ador Beauty Supplies - Twilight Haze

Hi everyone!!

I have a gorgesous polish to share with you today.  Twilight Haze is a blue/purple duochrome with a frost finish.  It has a really good formula!  It's slightly sheer, but opaque in 2 coats.  Here I used Seche Clear base coat, two coats of Twilight Haze, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

I actually wore this polish when I was in Turks & Caicos.  Aaaah... I could see the beautiful blue water and the pink sand... Oops, I'm back!  Anyhoo, I really liked this polish.  I love the color shift and it's just a really pretty shade.

Twilight Haze can be purchased at Ador Beauty's etsy shop here. The cost $3.50 for a mini.

Nail Sauce - Later Hater

Hi everyone!

I have a gorgeous glitter by Nail Sauce to share with you today!  Later Hater, according to Felicia's description, is a micro fine mix of purple, green, and gold glitter dust.  I decided to use one coat over Essie Power Clutch and  no top coat.

The formula for Later Hater is really great!  It applied evenly and easily.  I love how unique this polish is and it has a gorgeous sparkle!  I had mostly gold and green in my bottle.

This one was sent as a gift with my order, which was really sweet of Felicia.  I'm looking forward to trying the other ones I purchased.  She has some gorgeous-looking polishes.

Check out Felicia's site here, to see her polishes!

Cosmetic Arts - Pink

Hi everyone!!

This Pink Wednesday, I have a no name polish by Cosmetic Arts.  When I was in Vegas this past June, I picked up a few colors in Ross for $1.99 each because I'd seen several nail enthusiasts talk about this brand.

The formula for this polish was not the greatest.  It had a streaky application and was a bit on the thick side.  Honestly, I'm not sure how  I feel about it on me either.  Anyhoo, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength as a base, 2 coats of polish, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Artificial Light

Artificial Light

Do you see how chalky it looks around the cuticle?  I wasn't happy about that.

This is a pretty color, I'm just not sure that I like it on me.  Also, I wish the formula was easier to work with.  I hope the other ones I have, have a better formula.

What do you guys think of this one?  Have you tried it?

Twinsie Tuesday - Floral Mani

Hi everyone!!

This Twinsie Tuesday, we are supposed to share a floral mani.  I went with something very simple.  I started with Orly Au Champagne as my base.  I then created dots using Etude House WH020 (Extreme Jewel), a gorgeous glitter, for the center of my flowers.  Finally, I added dots around the glitter dots using Sally Hansen Fuschia Power

Here's how it turned out:

I like this simple, but cute look!  What do you guys think?  Are you into flowers on your nails or is it too girly for you?

Don't forget to check out my Twinsies to see their floral manicures!
