Barry M - Chameleon Blue

Hi everyone!!

Today, I have an interesting polish to share with you for Monday Blues that Saira sent to me.  Chameleon Blue is a limited edition metallic blue/gray polish by Barry M.

Chameleon blue has a great formula.  It's a one coater and applies flawlessly.  Here it is with no top coat.

Isn't it awesome?  I love it like it is.  Such a lovely shade.  However, there is a trick with this polish.  You are always supposed to wear a base coat when using this polish (I used Seche Clear).  After Chameleon Blue is dry, you use a clear top coat to create your design and the polish changes color. I used Beauty Secrets Top Coat.

I tried using the brush to create different designs, but that was a fail.  I do love the color the polish changed to though.  It is a lovely maroon shimmer.

I really like this polish!  I think I'll just add top coat regularly in the future to change the color.

What do you guys think of Chameleon Blue?  Have you tried this before?

  1. Nice but it is the same as China Glaze's TRANZITIONS, isn't it?
Generally speaking how do you like Marry M nail polish? I've read here and there that it chips easly. Your opinion? Thank you. Ciao

    1. Yes, it seems very similar to Tranzitions. I haven't tried those though. I love Barry M. All of the polishes I have so far have a great formula.

  3. This is beautiful! I'm not that crazy about the idea of such a polish. I don't normally wear polishes without top coat, and when I do (like with mattes), they chip so easily. But I would try one of these just for the sake of blue hehe.

    1. I agree with you! While I love the blue, I don't think I can do it without top coat.
