Pretty & Polished - You Are Beautiful/BCA

Hi everyone!!  Time for another Polish Us Pink post!  For the last post, I thought it would be fitting to use polishes dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

When I saw that Chelsea at Pretty & Polished had a duo made for Breast Cancer Awareness month, I just had to get it.  All of the profits from the sales will be going to Little Red Door of Delaware County.

You Are Beautiful is a beautiful pink with hot pink flakes and shimmer.  It applied really well and was opaque in two coats.  It has a really great formula!  And I love the shade of pink, it really looks like the pink that is used for the pink ribbon.  BCA has a clear base with pink holo hex glitter.

I used Nail Life Revitalizer as a base and Nubar Diamont for my top coat with this mani.

I wanted to have some fun with it instead of topping the base color with glitter, so I decided to tape off my index finger (after adding glitter) and created an "x" design that I saw on Instagram recently.  I then used the striping tape on my ring finger to create the shape of the ribbon with hubby's help.  I wanted the glitter to peek through.

As you can see the ribbon was almost successful, ALMOST.  I still kept it anyway because after it took so long trying to get it, I had no patience left.

On my thumb, I just added BCA to You Are Beautiful.  Love this combo!

I loved all the nails together.
I really had fun with this mani and hope you guys like it as well.

Though Breast Cancer Awareness Month is almost over, it doesn't mean we have to forget how serious this disease is and no longer pay attention to it.  Be sure to continue to do your self exams (I really need to make that a habit) and help in any way you can!

Check out the other manis done for this challenge!
