W7 - Metallic Neptune

Hi everyone!!  I'm definitely going to share my Vegas experience with you guys tomorrow because it's Twinsie Tuesday again!

Today our job was to share a metallic or duochrome polish.  The choice was up to us.  While my title has "metallic" in it, it's deceiving.  Metallic Neptune is actually a duochrome polish, why metallic is in the title, is unknown to me.  Duochromes are one of my favorite finishes, so that had to be my option for this week.

I received Metallic Neptune from the awesome Rachel at Polished Criminails who is from England.  We did a swap months ago and this baby was in the package. It had been on my wish list and she decided to grab it for me.  Thanks Rachel!!

Metallic Neptune is a gorgeous deep emerald green and purple duochrome, though from my pictures, you may wonder if I'm making that up.  My camera was not working with me on these, so I was only able to capture the green :(.  It made me sad, because in person, I could definitely see it.  Anyhoo, the formula was great!  It's a bit on the thick side, but very manageable.  It dries very quickly and is opaque in two coats.

I used a new base coat that I found in Sally's, Growth Spurt, as my base, two coats of Metallic Neptune, and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

You can slightly see the duochrome on the nail here.  But look at how awesome it is in the bottle.

I really like this polish!  It's a great fall/winter color!

What do you guys think of Metallic Neptune?  Do you own any polishes from this brand?

Don't forget to check out my twinsies and see what what metallic or duochrome polishes they chose! Amanda: http://amandalandish.blogspot.com/

  4. Every time I see this one fall more in love with it! I bought a polish awhile back that looked like it in the bottle but, sadly, painted out solid black :( Looks just amazing!

  5. It looks amazing on you! It's no wonder that it was the first one I chose from this collection. I had a little trouble with the photographing too. Had to take shots in different angles to catch some of the purple.

  14. I've never heard of this one before but it's absolutely beautiful! And I feel your pain on when your camera refuses to capture duochrome--so frustrating!
