Twinsie Tuesday - Layered Polish

Hi everyone!!  I still have one more A-England to share with you all, but it's Twinsie Tuesday.  So I'll share that one after Pink Wednesday.  For those of you who missed my first Twinsie Tuesday post, click here.

The theme today is Layered Polish, which I'm very happy about because I love to layer polishes.  I decided to use two coats of NYC Pier 17 as my base, one of my favorite electric blues.  I then layered one coat of Essie Pure Pearlfection, a gorgeous shimmer top coat.  For my base I used OPI Natural Nail Base Coat and I topped it off with Seche Vite Fast Dry top coat.

I absolutely love this combination. This mani took on a totally different look than I expected. There was a purple and blue shimmer over the polish that I really loved. I couldn't stop looking at it.

Take a look for yourself:

The yellow lighting gave this a horrible tint, but you can really see the purple and blue in this one.

What do you guys think of this layering combo?

  1. This reminds me of Cinderella, although if I remember correctly, her dress was light blue. Oh well, maybe I'm losing it. Either way, this is really pretty! Love it!

  12. This blue is beautiful on you. The layering adds a soft touch and is very complimentary to the blue. I don't own any NYC polishes, but I think I may have to pick this one up!
