Fresh Cover - Sheer Shot

Hi nail polish lovers!  Happy Pink Wednesday ;0).

Today I'm sharing a polish that I recently picked up at Duane Reade in Manhattan.  Fresh Cover is a new "to me" brand, so  I decided to try it out.  Also, I thought the bottles were cute, lol.

I decided to pick up Sheer Shot because it was the only color that I really liked.  Sheer Shot is a fuschia "crelly" that applied easily and smoothly.  The first coat was a bit patchy, however, it leveled out by the 2nd coat.  As the name suggests, this was a sheer polish, so after 2 coats there was still VNL.  I don't think a 3rd coat would have helped, but I cannot say that for sure because I stopped at 2 coats.

For these swatches, I used no base or top coat.

The cute bottle I referred to ;0)

Once the decorative cover is removed it reveals this black cover.

I think this is a pretty color, I'm just not a fan of the VNL.  As I mentioned, there weren't any other colors that really stood out to me, but I plan to try other colors from this brand in the future.

The cost for Fresh Cover was $6.

Have you seen this brand before?  What do you think of this polish?

  2. I'm intrigued....I must go into every DR I pass in the city to check for potential goodies and I've never seen this brand. At which DR did you find this?

And I'm with you on not looking VNL but I do really love this color on you.

    1. I actually looked this up. It's the 1350 Broadway location. Across from Macy's on 34th Street.

  5. Pinks look really good on you.

I like this one although I also don't like the VNL. maybe One more thick coat will solve it? Or a white base? Such a pretty color.

  8. I've seen this brand only in one nail supply store here. I got a couple colors (because one would be lonely) but haven't tried them yet. I didn't realize the outer cap came off--thanks for that tip!
