Orly - Sapphire Silk

Hi nail polish lovers!!! It's another Monday!  Boy do these weekends go by quickly!

I have a beauty to share with you today, Orly's Sapphire Silk, another one of my black Friday purchases from Ulta.  This polish was released in Spring 2011 and is from Orly's Precious Collection.

A gorgeous blue, almost teal creme, it went on as smooth as silk (pun intended, heehee).  This was my first time applying an Orly polish, so I can't speak for their formulas in general, but this formula was great.  It went on easily and was opaque in two coats.  It also dried pretty quickly, which I loved.  I hope my other Orlys are this easy to work with :-/.

These pics are with Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat as a base, two coats of Sapphire Silk, and Seche Vite fast dry top coat.

  1. This is definitely on my wishlist. I used to drool over MAC Blue India, but it was LE and I've missed it. This is an affordable dupe tough. Needless to say it's gorgeous!

  3. I love Sapphire Silk, one of my favorite Orlys. Nearly every Orly I have ever tried has an amazing formula like this one, so you will hopefully be pleasantly surprised with the next Orly you use!

  5. I don't have Slate of Affairs, so I can't honestly compare them, but they look very similar in swatches. Guess you wouldn't need both, but another polish never hurt anyone ;0).
